Preparing the Child . . . Preserving a Legacy

Living History is a multi-dimensional way of teaching history. Your style of interpreting history will heighten the experience of your audience. As presenters we are the conductor of a symphony, and our words music. At some point during the presentation, we delieve our audience will begin to visualize our words, note for note, and start to see themselves as part of our symphony.

Our Purpose…

  • Recruit and develop emerging young interpreters, living historians, and reenactors.

  • Teach them how to gather, research, archive, and interpret historical data.
  • Help them develop their first interpretive outline and obtain their first set of period clothing and accessories.

  • Assist with the cost of travel to and from interpretive programs and events.

  • Plan, host, and attend heritage programs and events.

  • Raising funds for outreach programs in schools and recreation centers.

  • Develop a historic preservation program to help protect and preserve architectural sites and structures in the marginalized communities of color.
  •
  • Produce webinars, podcasts, book readings, and online presentations.

Each One…Teach One...

Our forefathers were trailblazers who paved the way for us. And no matter how many times they were told they were not good enough, they still rose up to meet every challenge that confronted them. Because of this, they earned their place in American history.
