Looking at History from a Different Light

The Living History Foundation

Preparing the Child . . . Preserving a Legacy

Living History is a multi-dimensional way of teaching history. Your style of interpreting history will heighten the experience of your audience. As presenters we are the conductor of a symphony, and our words music. At some point during the presentation, we delieve our audience will begin to visualize our words, note for note, and start to see themselves as part of our symphony.

What's New...

New order your Emancipation pamphlet today

7We are happy to announce our latest project a reproduction of the "The Proclamation of Emancipation by the President of the United States, to take effect January 1st, 1863,"

This pamphlet was originally produced in December of 1862, the month preceding the issuance of The Emancipation Proclamation, "The Proclamation of Emancipation by the President of the United States, to take effect January 1st, 1863," it was the first and only printed pamphlet of the Emancipation Proclamation.

John Murray Forbes, a Boston industrialist and abolitionist, printed 1,000,000 of these pamphlets, packaged them in packages of fifty each, and distributed them among the Northern soldiers at the front to give to the enslaved and freed blacks while on the march.

This pamphlet tells a compelling story and would make a welcome addition to your Civil War kit or personal collection. Contact me if you would like to find out how to get a copy.

Each One…Teach One...

Our forefathers were trailblazers who paved the way for us. And no matter how many times they were told they were not good enough, they still rose to meet every challenge that confronted them. Because of this, they earned their place in American history. If you would like to honor your forefathers and help tell their stories, we need you.
