Welcome, I see you found our volunteer page. If you enjoy telling stories and love the great outdoors, the LHF is looking for you. We are looking for new members who would like to join us on our grand adventures and help tell the stories of our ancestors. Behind every program or event, our volunteers fill a multitude of different roles. As a volunteer, your time, effort, and talent is the mechanism that allows the LHF to give back in many meaningful ways.

​What Do Volunteers Do...

The LHF is on a never-ending quest to recruit and educate new volunteers, and teach them how to be living historians. As a presenter, we will teach you how to research historical documents. Plan and create presentations suitable for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. In essence, we are storytellers who believe we must find innovative ways to teach the history of our ancestors and build up our next generation of living historians.
